Trouble With Ezine Articles?

There has been a lot of talk about how EzineArticles.com have been getting a little more strict with accepting articles, that they take too long to approve them, and that they have to be really long articles to be accepted.

I really don’t agree here…

To this day, I hardly ever submit articles to any other directory.   And — if I do, I usually make sure that EZA has a copy first.

The one reason why EZA trumps all others is the fact that you can gain traffic from the directory itself…  You don’t have to rely on Google picking up the keywords before you see any return on your efforts.

And, regarding the fact that they won’t accept crap articles any more — I say “good on them’”.   The better the quality of articles on the site, the higher quality the clientele will be — better traffic, and better conversions.

As for the limit of words, their control panel still says “minimum 250 words” — it hasnt changed! And, as long as your article is useful, readable and makes sense, they’ll still accept small articles.

And BTW, I recently cancelled my premium membership with EZA — for the sole reason that I haven’t been submitting so many articles lately.   I normally rely on premium for the fact that they approve the articles so fast.  And– you can stagger out the submission times.  So, you can imagine what a shot of traffic you can get if you submit 10 articles on one day, and have one published every hour…

Anyway, back to my point. I’ve submitted a couple of articles over the last couple of days, without renewing premium.  And… I’m pleasantly surprised!

The articles were accepted within two days without a bit of bother.  And with all those horror stories I’ve seen about junior staff being overly strict…. Balderdash! :)

The “Ezine Article Submission” Myth Exposed & Debunked So You Can Get More Prospects Now

The Biggest Ezine Article Submission Myth Exposed & Debunked So You Can Get More Prospects Now

When it comes to ezine article submission (as in, literally submitting your content to owners of ezines or newletters), it’s actually a whole different ‘kettle of fish’ when compared with traditional article marketing.

This article will provide you with 3 ezine article submission “myths” that you need to be aware of when preparing your article for submission to another owners ezine.

Major Myth: Every Niche Has An Ezine

This is a problem I ran into when I first considered the idea of submitting articles or ads to ezines.

*If you are trying with a niche too small, there will be no ezine worth trying for*

For example – I was once promoting in the ‘backpain’ niche. I searched Google as usual for ezines within the niche, yet only a couple showed up. Both of these happened to be promotional ezines, meaning it was basically an autoresponder designed only to promote the services of the website, or another affiliate product.

You will be hard pressed to be able to submit to these types of ezine, and to gain the authors permission, considering that promoting any other product would be counterproductive to the original aim of the ezine.

Actually, knowing that thedirectoryofezines.com is the authority on ezine submission, I wrote to the owner and asked whether there was any decent ezines in his directory that I could submit to (before I payed for membership).

Graciously, he answered with a definitive ‘no’ (which is good of him – he could have simply told me to pay for membership and find out for myself), and the same answer came when I suggested other niches, like anxiety attacks as an example.

The explanation is that the niches are simply too small – or “micro niches”.

It seems to be a fact that the best industries to pick are those that Gary Halbert would say contains PWM or, “players with money”.

I’d suggest that if you want to submit to ezines and get a good return on investmen – you concentrate on big industries which host ezines with large subscriber bases – like “weight loss”, “internet marketing” etc. etc.

For smaller niches, stick with traditional article marketing, concentrating on submission to public article directories, or submitting content to other peoples web-sites.
